This summer has been wonderful!
Dustin and I were able to go on a cruise to Progresso and Cozumel. We had so much fun. This was my first cruise and I definitely see how they can become addictive :). In Progresso we went to the Chictzen Itza ruins. There were amazing---I've always wanted to visit a ancient historical site. It was surreal walking around a place I've seen on History Channel LOL. I wish we had had more time to explore but it was great.
The next day we went to Cozumel and went snorkeling. It was great. All the beautiful coral and fish!
After vacation if was back to work getting my classroom ready---but I had a very pleasant surprise! I was given an inside classroom! THANK YOU LORD. Its crazy, I was kinda upset at the end of the year when I was passed over for the room but knew God had a reason for everything---had already set up my trailer for the new year, then Mr. J stopped me and told me I could have the inside room. I'm so excited! My room is just wonderful!
Next Wednesday starts the teacher work days---then the next week back to school. I know God will bless me with another great class this year. He put each child in my class for a reason! Of course, this doesn't mean the back-to-school nightmares haven't stopped LOL. I dont know why we (teachers) do this every year---seasoned and new teaches alike---but we all have them. I'll just keep praying that they dont come true :D.

Starting Out
Well after many many blogger friends, I've decided to create my own blog!!
A little about us.....
I met my husband, Dustin Duncan, at UAB. We were both in the marching band. He was a tenor drummer and I played the clarinet. He approached me first and we went on our first date September 17, 2004. From that day on we've been a couple. We dated three years and Dustin proposed on June 17, 2006. He took me to Palisades Park in Oneonta, Alabama. After a picnic lunch, he took me to the Meditation Point, a little chapel on the bluff. He had his telescope and binoculars and told me to look. After many failed attempts on my part (I kept bumping the telescope and messing it up:)) I saw the sign! Our families were down below in a nearby golf course holding a sign saying "Megan, will you marry me?". Of course I said YES!. A year later we were married at Springville First United Methodist on June 9, 2007. It was the best day of my life!
So here we are, four years later, more in love and closer than ever!!
Dustin is a software engineer at Constantine Engineering and I am a first grade teacher at Chalkville Elementary.
God has blessed us so much and we can't wait to see what our next steps in life will be! We are looking forward to our future (hopefully with some new additions in the near future).
Welcome to my blog!
